Meet the Plastic Surgery Staff
We are excited for you to come visit our office and meet our wonderful staff. They will assist you with every aspect of your visit, from scheduling your appointment to planning for your procedure to the care you receive after your surgery.
Erica Bruce is the Office Manager/ Patient Coordinator for Derek C. Lou M.D. She graduated as a certified medical assistant and started her career in facial plastic surgery in 2006. She meets with each patient during consultation and guides them through, from pre and post- operative care, laser treatments, injectable treatments, surgery scheduling, and insurance precertification process. Her excellent organization skills and attention to detail ensures that the entire process is smooth from beginning to end.
Hannah Carl is our Patient Relations Coordinator, and the person you’re most likely to talk with when you call the office. Hannah is cheerful and efficient with extensive experience in customer service, billing and insurance. She will help make sure that you have the information you need when you get to your appointment.
Laura Hicks is a Registered Nurse and Esthetician, licensed by the state of Texas. She graduated from Alvin Community College with an Associate Degree in Nursing and began her career as a health screening and immunization nurse. She then went on to continue her nursing education at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she graduated with a Bachelor Degree in the Science of Nursing. While attending school at the University of Texas, Laura also attended and completed the esthetics program at Aveda Institute of Houston, where she found her passion for skin care. Laura has completed multiple trainings and certifications in cosmetic injectables, lasers, I.V. therapy, and other esthetic devices. Her extensive knowledge, education, and experience make her unique in the world of esthetics, as she is able to combine both her medical and esthetic background. Laura is a compassionate and caring individual that seeks to give the best quality treatments and education to all of her clients.
