How is brachioplasty performed?

The arm lift procedure, also called brachioplasty, is performed to improve the appearance of the upper arms when there is skin sagging. Many people are unhappy with the appearance of their upper arms and feel self-conscious about this area of their body. The upper arms are sometimes difficult to tone and define, especially when there is excess, sagging skin in the area.

The arm lift is performed through an incision in along the bottom of the upper inner arm between the elbow and armpit. Sometimes the arm lift is performed in combination with other body contouring procedures, liposuction such as liposuction when there is stubborn, excess fat in the area.
